Bangers and Mash




Ingredients:
  • 3 English Bangers (9.6 oz)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 16 oz Potato
  • 1 oz Butter
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • enough Milk
Directions:
  • Fry bangers in oil, 18 minutes
  • boil the potato, drain
  • add butter, pepper, milk
  • mash, serve
  • add bangers onto the mash

Onion Gravy

Ingredients:
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp sage, 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 9 oz porter beer
  • 3/4 cup beef stock
Directions:
  • saute onions in butter, light brown
  • add pepper, sage and thyme
  • add sugar, 2 minutes
  • add flour, 3 minutes
  • add beer, Worcestershire, reduce
  • add broth, reduce to a sauce
  • serve:
  • mashies on plate, bangers on top
  • pour gravy over bangers & mash
