Cornish Pasty

1 pound, Chuck Beef, chopped to 1/4 - 1/3 inch cubes 1/2 cup (or a little more) onion, chopped small
1/2 cup (or a little more) carrot, sliced thin

1cup (or a little less) red potato in 1/4" cubes

Mix with a tsp salt, a half or one tsp pepper, tsp basil, tbs parsley

divide into three bowls 

2 cups flour, 1/4 pound butter, milk to make the pastry, divide into 3 balls

Roll a ball into a 9 inch circle, place in a bowl, transfer the mix into the pastry, a little water on the edge to fold over into...

Place on a greased cookie sheet, into a 350-400 degree oven for an hour.

Can be served hot or cold, on a plate or just pick it up and eat.
