Cabbage Jambalaya





Ingredients:
  • 2 tbls butter
  • 1 lb ground beef (or bison or turkey)
  • 14 oz kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 mediun onion, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 14.5 oz can no salt diced tomato
  • 14.5 oz vegetable broth
  • small cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup rice
Directions:
  • butter in hot 10" skillet
  • add onion, celery, garlic, 1 minute
  • add beef and sausage, cook until browned, about 5 minutes
  • transfer to pot
  • add cabage, tomato broth and rice, heat to boil
  • cover, reduce to simmer, stir occasionally, 30 to 40 minutes
  • done serve in bowl, with a beer
