Butter Pecan Ice Cream

- 1/3 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 tbls butter
- saute
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- heat to nearly simmering, cool
- add 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- add the pecans
- cool to near freezing
- use the icecream maker
- freeze
