Zwiebelschnitzel





Ingredients:

Schnitzel
  • 2 tbls butter
  • 1 tbls olive oil
  • 3 pork chops, flatten
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 egg beaten, 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika, 1/4 salt, 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
sauce
  • 2 tbls butter
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 1 tbls ap flour
  • 3 oz sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white wine
topping
  • 1/2 cup grated swiss cheese
Directions:
  • flour in a bowl
  • egg and spices in second bowl
  • bread crumbs in third bowl
  • pork in flour, then egg, then crumbs
  • hot skillet, pork on for 2.5 minutes
  • flip the pork, cook for 2.5 minutes more
  • pork in to casserole

  • butter, hot skillet
  • add onion, cook to limp
  • add flour cook to tan
  • mix sour cream, cream and wine
  • add to onion, simmer to thicken

  • add sauce over the schnitzel, top with cheese
  • bake for 30 minutes

  • serve with potato (fried or roasted) and/or mixed vegs
  • DONE
